Makers HQ’s training studio offers level 2 & 3 apprenticeship programmes within the fashion and textiles sector.
Our apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work for a real employer within the area, earn a salary whilst gaining valuable workplace skills, experience and ultimately an accredited qualification.
We work closely with a range of employers in the fashion and textiles industry within Devon and Cornwall.
During an apprenticeship you will typically work at least 30 hours per week with your employer.
After qualifying, the majority of apprentices will stay in employment. An apprenticeship offers the chance of a real future in the fashion industry.
Our Apprenticeships are in partnership with Plymouth College of Art. We currently run:
Level 2 - SEWING MACHINIST
Anyone living in England, over 16 years old and not in full-time education can apply to be an apprentice.
The apprenticeship programme is a unique combination of training and career specific work experience. The apprentice will be working with one employer for the entire course therefore providing an opportunity for both the employer and the individual to develop a long and sustainable relationship.
The minimum entry requirement to gain access to the qualification is four C grades at GCSE level, including Maths and English, the equivalent or professional experience and to be committed to the interview process.
