WE ARE HIRING!

• Industrial Manufacturing Tutor and Project Lead

Do you have experience teaching in the fashion and textiles sector? Do you have a broad knowledge of industrial manufacturing?
Are you a designer/maker looking to share your skills with others?

We are looking for someone to fulfill the following roles:

  • -  1 day a week, based at Makers HQ, you will deliver our SEG Award Level 3 NVQ Diploma in manufacturing textile products. This consists of the academic google slide based modules that support our students currently employed in full time industrial based employment. This structured course includes a workplace assessment to be completed at Babcock International at the end of every module.

  • -  To deliver our Design Lab Nation project, in collaboration with the V&A and The Box museums. This is a creative thinking design led project consisting of 12 days of delivered workshops, plus planning days, to be delivered to year 9 students across 3 Plymouth based secondary schools. This project includes 3 trips to the V&A museum in London, which you must be able to attend.

• Freelance Machinists

We are currently looking for a pool of experienced machinists, sample makers, pattern cutters and cutters to join our busy manufacturing team producing high end garments and bespoke accessories.

This is a zero hour contract, so would suit someone that just needs part-time work. We need to have individuals on board that are flexible and can work a few hours here and there, as and when the business requires it.
